Direct, shoot, and edit a case study film for Castrol's hitchhiking initiative, documenting a campaign designed to raise awareness about truck drivers' wellbeing, promoting healthier choices for long-distance drivers through a powerful brand-led social message.
The production followed real truck drivers during overnight shifts to match their working schedules. With non-professional participants, the planned script had to remain flexible, requiring the story to evolve naturally on location while preserving authenticity and capturing meaningful moments under challenging shooting conditions.
Balanced the scripted narrative with documentary-style improvisation, adapting the direction to the drivers' personalities and real interactions. Built the story through carefully selected visuals, interviews, and observational moments, creating a strong emotional analogy between maintaining a truck's engine and taking care of one's own health.
An Award-Winning Initiative
Delivered a compelling case study that clearly communicated the campaign's purpose while preserving the authenticity of the real participants. The film helped showcase an award-winning initiative, transforming a brand message into a relatable human story that reinforced awareness around night driving, health, and responsible choices.
